About the Owner
Where Building Science Meets Southern Charm
From a young age, John Hays knew he was destined to become a builder. He dedicated himself to learning about the art of construction – not merely with hands-on craftsmanship, but also gaining a deeper understanding by studying Building Sciences at Auburn University’s School of Architecture, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree. Upon graduation, John was selected to join the legendary team at Turner Construction, where he participated in building many deluxe projects such as Vanderbilt University’s Medical Research buildings, St. Thomas Hospital, The Tennessee Aquarium, and St. Jude’s Hospital.
After acquiring practical experience in the commercial construction sector, John was ready to fulfill his childhood dream and utilize his vast knowledge of building sciences in the residential world, setting out on his own in 1994. With over 35 years of experience, John Hays Construction builds bespoke homes for discerning Nashvillians. We endeavor to leave a legacy of craftsmanship and integrity, guiding clients through the custom home building process to create their dream home.
I hired John Hays for 2 projects and I was pleased with both. He does a great job, and has good support staff. In renovation there will be 'bumps,' but John was quick to correct and work through them.
